5. Grant of licence
1[The licensee shall always display at the entrance of the shop, a signboard of the size of 60 centimetres by 90 centimetres bearing the following inscriptions in legible characters:—
- Name of the licensee (s).
- Licence No.
- Location of the shop.
- Authorised opening and closing hours of the shop.
No additional items shall be inscribed on the signboard.]

**अंतिम मंजूरी:**
- Committee ची शिफारस विचारून, Collector हे तपासतात की:
• तुमचे दोकान/warehouse नियमांच्या अनुरूप आहे का?
• कोणतेही कायदेशीर आपत्ती तर नाही?
- जर सर्व काही ठीक असेल तर licence दिले जाते.
**खर्च:**
- तुम्हाला **licence fee** (State Government किंवा Commissioner ठरवतो) भरावा लागतो.
- तसेच **₹1,00,000 (एक लाख रुपये) का guarantee deposit** देणे बंधनकारक आहे.
**नोट:** काही परिस्थितीत State Excise Superintendent सरळ licence मंजूर करू शकतात, Committee शिवाय.
5A. Display of name on Name Board.—
2(1) The Licensee shall display name of his licence on Name Board in Marathi language in Devnagari Script as follows, namely:—
- "Foreign Liquor Shop."
e. g. "Novelty Foreign Liquor Shop":
Provided that, the licensee may also have name of his licence on the Name Board in any other language and script in addition to marathi in Devnagari script:
Provided further that, lettering in Marathi language shall essentially be written in the beginning on the Name Board and the font size of the letters in Marathi Language shall not be smaller than the font size of the letters in any other language.
(2) No additional items shall be inscribed on said Name Board.]
6. Duration of licence
The licensee shall abide by conditions of this licence and the provisions of the Bombay Prohibition Act, 1949, and the rules, regulations and orders made there under and shall give an undertaking to that effect.

• **महत्वाचे:** licence संपण्याच्या आधीच नवीन अर्ज दाखल करणे चांगले — नाहीतर तुमचा व्यवसाय बंद झाईल.
7. Only foreign liquor authorised by Commisssioner to be imported and removed from customs frontier, etc.
The licensee shall comply promptly with all lawful orders and directions issued from time to time by the Commissioner Collector or the Superintendent or Inspector of Prohibition and Excise.

- पहिल्या 10 labels — प्रत्येकी ₹5,000 प्रति वर्ष
- 10 पेक्षा जास्त labels — प्रत्येकी ₹2,500 प्रति वर्ष
**महत्वाचे बातमी:**
• तुमच्याकडे सिर्फ अधिकृत विदेशी दारूच हवं — दुसरी कोणी दारू import किंवा विक्रय करू शकत नाहीत।

8. Removal from Custom House, etc. कस्टम हाउस मधून विदेशी दारू बाहेर काढणे
The licensee, his heirs, legal representatives or assignees shall have no claim whatsoever to the continuance or renewal of this licence after the expiry of the period for which it is granted. It shall be entirely within the discretion of the Collector to permit or not the assignee of the licensee, in case of sale or transfer or the heir or legal representative of the licensee, in case of death, to have the benefit of the licence for the unexpired portion of the term for which it is granted.

This licence may be suspended or cancelled in accordance with the provisions of section 54 or 56 of the Bombay Prohibition Act, 1949.

10. Sale of foreign liquor विदेशी दारूची विक्री
In case this licence is cancelled or suspended during the currency of the licence period or is not renewed on its expiry, the licensee shall surrender the whole stock of unsold foreign liquor forthwith to the Collector. The stock of liquor so surrendered shall be sold by the Collector and the proceeds of the sale shall after deducting the expenses and any sum due to the State Government be returned to the licensee.
