(1) Any Prohibition Officer authorised by the1State1 Government in this behalf or any Police Officer may—
- (a) arrest without warrant any person whom he has reason to believe to be guilty of an offence under this Act;
- (b) seize and detain any intoxicant, hemp, mhowra flowers or molasses or other articles which he has reason to believe to be liable to confiscation or forfeiture under this Act 2and seize any document or other article which he has reason to believe may furnish evidence of commission of any offence under this Act2.
(2) Any Prohibition Officer authorized by the 1State1 Government under this section who arrests any person under clause (a) or seizes and detains any article under clause (b), of sub-section (1) shall forward such person or article, as the case may be, without unnecessary delay to the officer-in-charge of the nearest Police Station.
124. Power to obtain information. माहिती मिळविण्याचा अधिकार.
(1) The 3Commissioner3 or Collector or any Prohibition Officer specially empowered in this behalf by the 1State1 Government or a Police Officer may, by order require any person to furnish to any specified authority or person any such information in his possession concerning any intoxicant, hemp, mhowra flowers or molasses as may be specified in the order.
(2) If any person fails to furnish any information in compliance with the order made under sub-section (1) or furnishes false information, he shall, on conviction, be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months or with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees or with both.

आयुक्त जिल्हाधिकारी किंवा याबाबत योग्य रीतीने अधिकार दिलेले कोणताही दारूबंदी अधिकारी किंवा कोणताही पोलीस अधिकारी यांस,-
(अ) या अधिनियमान्वये किंवा उत्पादन शुल्क महसुलासंबंधीच्या त्या त्या वेळी अमलात असलेल्या कोणत्याही इतर कायद्यान्वये जे जप्त केले जाण्यास व सरकार जमा होण्यासट पात्र आहे असे त्यास सकारण वाटत असेल असे कोणतेही मादक द्रव्य, भांग, मोहाची फुले किंवा काकवी किंवा कोणतीही इतर वस्तू कोणत्याही खुल्या जागेत किंवा त्यांची ने आण करताना जप्त करता येईल आणि जो कोणताही दस्तऐवज किंवा इतर वस्तू या अधिनियमान्वये केलेल्या अपराधाचा पुरावा म्हणून सादर करता येईल असे त्यास सकारण वाटत असेल असा दस्ताऐवज किंवा अशी वस्तू जप्त करण्याचा अधिकार असेल,
(ब) हा अधिनियम किंवा उत्पादन शुल्क महसुलांसंबंधीचा त्या त्या वेळी अमलात असलेला कोणताही इतर कायदा यांविरुद्ध अपराध केल्याबद्दल जी कोणतीही व्यक्ती दोषी आहे असे त्यास सकारण वाटत असेल तिला अटकावून ठेवता येईल व तिची झडती घेता येईल आणि अशा व्यक्तीच्या जवळ कोणतेही मादक द्रव्य, भांग, मोहाची फुले, काकवी किंवा कोणतीही वस्तू असल्यास, तिला अटक करता येईल.

126. Arrest without warrant. अधिपत्रावाचून अटक करणे.
The 3Commissioner3 or Collector or any Prohibition Officer duly empowered in this behalf by the 1State1 Government or any Police Officer may arrest without an order from a Magistrate and without warrant any person who obstructs him in the execution of his duties under this Act or who has escaped or attempts to escape from custody in which he has been or is lawfully detained under this Act.
