FORM T

1[licence]1 for the manufacture and possession of toddy for domestic consumption

Shri inhabitant of the village of in the tahsil of in the district of Chanda (herein after called the permit holder) is hereby granted a 1[licence]1 fbr the manufacture and possession of toddy fbr domestic consumption 2[ibr the period ending on 30th day of June 19 ]2 on payment of 2[a fee of seventy-five1[paise]1]2 subject to the following condition, namely:

Conditions

  1. The 1[licensee]1 shall always carry this 1[licence]1 whenever engaged in drawing toddy and shall produce it on demand by any revenue office not below the rank of Naib-Tahsildar or any Prohibition and Excise or Police Officer not below the rank of a Sub-Inspector.
  2. The 1[licensee]1 shall not tap or cause to be tapped any tree or draw or cause to be drawn toddy from any tree of attach or cause to be attached any pot to any tree until the tree has been marked by an officer authorised by the Collector in that behalf and until duty at the rate of 2[seveniy-five 1[paise]1 per tree fbr the period of the 1[licence]1]2 is paid.
  3. The 1[licensee]1 shall not toddy drawn under this 1[licence]1.
  4. The permit holder shall not tap more than toddy trees during the period of this licence. He shall not tap date palms (Sindhi).
  5. The 1[licence]1 may be cancelled or suspended in accordance with the provisions of section 54 or 56 of the Bombay Prohibition Act, 1949.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (l) of section 109 of the Bombay Prohibition Act, 1949 (Bom. XXV of 1949), the Government of Maharashtra hereby directs that for every toddy producing tree which is tapped or caused to be tapped in the outstill area of the Chanda District, there shall be levied a duty at the rate of 1[seventy-five naye paise per tree fbr the period oflhe permit.]1

Nothing in this notification shall apply to any tree from which neera is drawn under a licence issued under the Bombay Neera Rules, 1951.
