Explanation.—
In this rule—
- "milk of lime" means the solution of water and pulp of quicklime in the proportion of 4:1; and
- "pulp of quicklime" means the pulpy precipitate obtained by the gradual addition of water to quicklime.
9. Marking and numbering of trees झाडांना चिन्हांकित करणे व क्रमांक देणे

No tree shall be tapped unless it is marked by blue with 123 cms.1 square in which shall be prominently painted in white the number of the tree, the licence year and the appropriate figures as provided in sub-rule (2). The marking and numbering should be at a height of 176 cms.1 measured from the bottom of the tree, and on the northern or southern side of the trunk of the tree as the tapping will be done on the eastern or western side of the crest of the trees:
2[Provided that, the marking and numbering on a coconut, palmyra or brab tree may be on any side of the trunk of the tree]2.

The licensee shall paint the figures specified in column (2) of the table below according as the tree is intended to be tapped for any of the purposes specified against them in column (1) of the said table.

10. Authorisation Certificate प्राधिकार प्रमाणपत्र

4(1)4 Every agent or tapper employed by the licensee in connection with his licence shall be provided with an 3authorisation certificate3 signed and dated by the licensee. The name of such employee together with the date on which he is appointed shall be communicated forthwith in writing by the licensee to the Inspector of Prohibition and Excise having charge of the area in which the place of manufacture or place of sale, as the case may be, is situated. 5[Within two months of the date of appointment of such employee, the licensee shall get such5 3authorisation certificate3 countersigned by the said Inspector of Prohibition and Excise and if he fails to do so, such 3authorisation certificate3 shall cease to be valid. No 3authorisation certificate3 shall be issued to any person under 21 years of age, and no such 3authorisation certificate3 if issued shall be valid.]

Notwithstanding anything contained in the Bombay Prohibition (Privileges Fees) Rules, 1954, no fee shall be chargeable for any 3authorisation certificate3 issued by a licensee holding a licence for any of the purposes specified in [rule 31].
11. Time नीरा काढणे व उतरवण्याच्या वेळा
No neera shall be drawn or lowered down from trees 6before 4-00 a.m. or after sunset,6 unless otherwise sanctioned by the Commissioner of Prohibition and Excise.
दारूबंदी व उत्पादन शुल्क आयुक्तांनी अन्यथा मंजुरी दिल्याशिवाय वृक्षांतून ३[सकाळी ४-०० पूर्वी किंवा सूर्यास्तानंतर] नीरा काढली किंवा खाली उतरवली जाणार नाही.

12. Use of Neera नीरेचा वापर
No neera drawn from trees tapped under a licence and intended to be utilised in the manufacture of gur or any other article which is not an intoxicant shall be kept at the place of manufacture 6beyond the day on which it is drawn unless it is kept in cold storage under the temperature at or below 4 °C or unless6 it is boiled and no such boiled neera shall be kept for more than 24 hours from the time it is boiled.
परवान्यानुसार ठोकलेल्या वृक्षांतून काढलेली आणि गूळ किंवा मादक नसलेल्या इतर कोणत्याही वस्तूच्या उत्पादनात वापरण्याचा हेतू असलेली नीरा उत्पादन स्थानावर ६[ज्या दिवशी काढली त्या दिवसाच्या पलीकडे ठेवली जाणार नाही, जोपर्यंत ती ४°से किंवा त्यापेक्षा कमी तापमानात शीतगृहात ठेवली नसेल किंवा] ती उकळली नसेल आणि अशी उकळलेली नीरा उकळल्याच्या वेळेपासून २४ तासांपेक्षा अधिक काळ ठेवली जाणार नाही.

**अगर हवेतून संग्रह करणे —**
• परवान्यानुसार (licence घेऊन) झाडांतून काढलेली ताजी नीरा फक्त तेच दिवस (जिस दिवशी काढली) उत्पादन स्थानावर ठेवू शकता।
• जर पुढच्या दिवशी वापर करायचा असेल तर ती ठेवू शकत नाही — हे नियम आहे।
**वैकल्पिक पर्याय —**
१. **कोल्ड स्टोरेज (शीतगृह):** नीरा 40°C किंवा त्यापेक्षा कमी तापमानात ठंड करून ठेवू शकता। या पद्धतीने तुम्ही आवश्यक तेवढे दिवस ठेवू शकता।
२. **उकळून ठेवणे:** नीरा उकळल्यानंतर (शरीरण केल्यानंतर) फक्त 24 तास (1 दिवस) ठेवू शकता। 24 तासांनंतर हटवावी लागते।
**मुख्य बिंदू —**
• ही नीरा मादक (दारू) बनवण्यासाठी नव्हे, केवळ गूळ किंवा अन्य गैर-मादक वस्तू बनवण्यासाठी आहे।
• कोणतीही गैरव्यवहार केल्यास तुमचा licence रद्द होऊ शकतो आणि दंड होऊ शकतो।
13. Transport of Neera नीराची वाहतूक
Neera drawn under the licence shall not be mixed or adulterated with toddy or 6any substance or liquid which is injurious to human health6
परवान्यानुसार काढलेली नीरा ताडीमध्ये किंवा ६[मानवी आरोग्यास हानिकारक असलेल्या किंवा नीरामध्ये किण्वन होण्याची शक्यता असलेल्या कोणत्याही पदार्थ किंवा द्रव्यामध्ये] मिसळली किंवा भेसळ केली जाणार नाही किंवा वैध वाहतूक पासशिवाय कोणत्याही ठिकाणी नेली जाणार नाही: तथापि, नमुना एन-II मधील परवानाधारकाने परवानाधारक वृक्षांतून काढलेली नीरा आपल्या निवासस्थानी नेण्यासाठी असा पास आवश्यक नसेल.

- जर तुमच्याकडे Form N-II मधील licence असेल, तर तुम्ही परवानाधारक झाडांतून काढलेली नीरा आपल्या घरी नेऊ शकता.
- यासाठी transport pass हवा नाही.
**सोप्या भाषेत:** नीरा वाहून नेताना ती शुद्ध असावी, ताडी किंवा इतर गोष्टी मिसळलेली नसावी. दुकानात किंवा दुसऱ्या व्यावसायिक ठिकाणी नेण्यासाठी pass लागतो. पण जर तुमच्या घरात नीरा नेत असाल, तर pass लागत नाही.
