In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (d) of section 139 of the Bombay Prohibition Act, 1949 (Bom. XXV of 1949), the Government of Maharashtra hereby exempts the following denatured spirituous preparations from the provisions of sections 59-C and 59-D of the said Act, that is to say—
- Sulphuric ether,
- Ethyl Chloride,
- Methyl Chloride,
- Ethyl Bromide,
- Chloroform,
- Hydrate of Chloral,
- Aconite,
- Belladona,
- Compound Camphor,
- Ammoniated Camphor;
- Mustard,
- Shop liniment of the British Pharmacopoeia.

In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (d) of section 139 of the Bombay Prohibition Act, 1949 (Bom. XXV of 1949), and in supersession of Government Order, Home Department, No. DNS. 1060/11245 dated the 8th March 1963, the Government of Maharashtra hereby exempts all denatured spirituous preparations from the provisions of sections 59-C and 59-D of the said Act in so far as they relate to their possession and transport.

In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (d) of section 139 of the Bombay Prohibition Act, 1949 (Bom. XXV of 1949), the Government of Maharashtra hereby exempts all denatured spirituous preparations excluding french polish, thinners and varnishes (other than picture varnishes) from the provisions of clause (b) of sub-section (7) of section 59-D of the said Act in so far as they relate to export, for a 3 years with effect from 11 January 1991 and ending on the 31st December 1993.

In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (d) of sub-section (1) of section 139 of the Bombay Prohibition Act, 1949 (Bom. XXV of 1949), the Government of Maharashtra hereby exempts denatured spirituous preparations excluding french polish, thinners and varnishes (other than picture varnishes), from the provisions of clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 59-D of the said Act in so far as they relate to export, for a period commencing on the 1st January, 2002 and ending on the 31st December, 2005.
