In exercise of the powers conferred by section 143 of the Bombay Prohibition Act, 1949 (Bom. XXV of 1949), and in supersession of Government Notification, Revenue Department, No. 9688/24, dated 30th April 1928, the Government of Bombay is pleased to make the following rules, namely:

1. Short Title शिर्षक

या नियमांना मुंबई शुद्ध मद्यार्क नियम, १९५१ म्हणता येईल.

• मुंबई राज्यात दारूचा उत्पादन, विक्रय आणि वापर यावर नियंत्रण करण्यासाठी हा कायदा आहे.

• जर कोणी दारूचा business करायचा असेल, तर त्याला हे नियम समजून घेणे आवश्यक आहे.

उदा., जर तुम्हाला शुद्ध मद्यार्कची दुकान किंवा warehouse चालवायची असेल, तर तुम्हाला या नियमांचे पालन करणे बंधनकारक आहे.

2. Extend व्याप्ती

  1. "Act M means the 2©Bombay Prohibition Act, 19492;
  2. " Bonded laboratory " means a laboratory or manufactory where spirit is stored without payment of duty for use in the manufacture of medicinal and toilet preparations 3or fbr use for industrial purpose3 on the execution of a bond in that behalf;
  3. " Distillery Officer " means a officer-in-charge of 4a Government distillery or any licensed distillery;4
  4. " Form " means a form appended to these rules;
  5. " Medicinal and toilet preparations " include perfumed spirits and essences ;
  6. "Officer-in-charge " means an officer of the Prohibition and Excise Department appointed at a bonded laboratory for the purpose of supervising the operations relating to the manufacture and issue of medicinial and toilet preparations there from 5or as the case may be, relating to the use of spirit for industrial purposes;5
  7. " Spirit" means rectified spirit and includes absolute alcohol
