Licence Fee Payment via GRAS (Government Receipt Accounting System)

How to pay your annual excise licence fee or other dues online via GRAS e-challan.

Excise licence fees are paid online via GRAS — the Maharashtra Government payment portal. You generate a challan online, make payment via net banking or at a bank counter, and the receipt is your proof of payment.

1. Visit the GRAS portal: https://gras.mahakosh.gov.in
2. Select the relevant department: State Excise / Finance Department.
3. Choose the appropriate head of account and payment type (licence fee, renewal fee, application fee, etc.).
4. Enter the required details: licence number, period, amount.
5. Generate the challan and note the challan number.
6. Pay online (net banking, debit/credit card) or take the challan to any authorised bank counter for payment.
7. Save/download the payment receipt (stamped challan) after payment.
8. Attach this receipt to your renewal application or any submission to the Excise Office.
9. Keep the receipt safely — it may be required during inspection.
