These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the MyExcise website (https://myexcise.net), operated by Mohan Suklal Varde (individual proprietor, Udyam Reg. UDYAM-MH-26-1187854), trading as "Vertex TechnoLegal" and "MyExcise", registered at Flat F-702, Supreme Palm Society, Balewadi, Pune – 411045, Maharashtra, India. By accessing or using MyExcise, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
About MyExcise
MyExcise is an excise assistant platform for Maharashtra State Excise. It provides access to:
- The Bombay Prohibition Act, 1949 and related Acts
- Rules framed under Section 143 of the Act
- Regulations framed by the Excise Commissioner under Section 144
- Government Notifications, Orders, Resolutions, and Circulars
- Official Forms and Schedules
- Maharashtra Excise Manual (scanned PDF viewer)
- AI-powered legal information (MyExcise AI, previously known as Excise GPT)
- Brand & Price list of liquor products
- Contact directory of Excise Department officers
User Accounts
Registration
- You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
- You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure. Because sign-in to MyExcise is handled by Google OAuth, anyone with access to your Google account will also have access to your MyExcise account. We recommend enabling 2-Step Verification on your Google account.
- One account per person. Sharing accounts is not permitted.
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
Free Account
- Visitors (no sign-in) see a 30% preview of every content page; the remaining 70% is visually blurred but remains indexable by search engines under Google’s flexible-sampling paywall guidelines.
- Registered free users (Google login) get 15 days of full content access from the date of signup — unlimited reading of all manual pages, Government Resolutions, gazette notifications, and downloads.
- AI queries (MyExcise AI) are not included in the free trial and are available to any signed-in user via a paid recharge pack (subscription is not required to purchase or use recharge queries).
- After the 15-day free trial ends, content pages revert to the 30% preview + 70% blur view until you subscribe. Search, list pages, homepage, and Ex-DC-authored articles remain fully visible in all states.
- No payment information is required for the free account.
- Note: After a paid subscription expires and the 7-day grace period ends, full subscription renewal is required to continue using paid features (unblurred content, downloads). AI-query access via recharge is independent of subscription state.
Subscription & Payment
Subscription Plans (access-only — 2026-09-29 rework)
- 3-Month Access Plan — ₹500 / 3 months (90 days from date of purchase): Full access to all Maharashtra Excise laws, rules, regulations, manual, forms, Ex-DC-authored articles and case-law corpus. AI queries are not included — buy a recharge pack separately.
- Yearly Access Plan — ₹1,500 / year (365 days from date of purchase): Same full access, all year. Best value at ~₹125/month, saves 25% vs 4× the 3-month plan.
- Subscription is a one-time payment for the validity period above and does not auto-renew. You will not be billed again at the end of the period.
- Subscription is for a single user and is non-transferable.
- Mid-cycle plan switch: upgrading from an active 3-Month to Yearly (or renewing before expiry) carries remaining days forward — the new plan’s validity is added on top of the existing end date.
- During the 7-day grace period after subscription expiry, content remains accessible in read-only mode.
- Legacy Monthly Plan: the ₹100/month plan was deactivated on 2026-09-29. Existing subscribers on that plan keep their access until natural expiry — no forced migration.
AI Query Recharge Packs
- 4-query pack: 4 AI queries for ₹100
- 10-query pack: 10 AI queries for ₹200
- Recharge packs are available to any signed-in user — an active subscription is not required to purchase or use recharge queries.
- Recharge queries expire 15 days from the date of purchase, independent of subscription state. Unused queries at expiry are forfeited and are not refundable.
- The maximum query balance a user can hold at any time is 25 queries. A purchase that would push the balance above 25 is refused at checkout with a “consume existing first” message.
Payment Processing
- All payments on this website and Android app are processed securely through Instamojo Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (our authorised payment gateway partner). Supported payment methods include UPI, Debit and Credit Cards, Net Banking and eligible wallets.
- Prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable taxes.
- Payment confirmation is sent to your registered email. The transaction reference is generated by Instamojo and shown on the confirmation page.
- By making a payment, you also agree to the terms and privacy policy of Instamojo applicable to that transaction.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
- Subscriptions are one-time payments and do not auto-renew; there is therefore no recurring charge to cancel.
- Since a free 15-day trial with full content access is provided before any payment, we encourage users to fully evaluate the service before subscribing.
- Refund requests made within 7 days of subscription purchase will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Refunds for AI query recharge packs are not available once any query from the pack has been used. Unused queries at 15-day expiry are also forfeited.
- To request a refund, email support@myexcise.net with your registered email, Instamojo transaction ID (from your confirmation email), and reason.
- Approved refunds are processed within 7-10 business days to the original payment method, routed back through Instamojo. Refund credit timing on your bank/wallet also depends on the issuing institution.

- MyExcise AI (previously named "Excise GPT") is an AI-powered informational tool that provides answers based on legal text stored in our database.
- Responses generated by MyExcise AI are for informational and educational purposes only.
- AI responses do NOT constitute legal advice, professional opinion, or official interpretation of the law.
- AI may occasionally produce inaccurate or incomplete information. Always verify important legal matters with the original Act/Rules or a qualified legal professional.
- MyExcise and Vertex TechnoLegal shall not be liable for any decisions, actions, or consequences arising from reliance on AI-generated responses.
- For binding legal advice, consult a qualified legal practitioner or the State Excise Department directly.
Content Accuracy
- We strive to keep all legal content accurate and up-to-date.
- Content is sourced from official Maharashtra State Excise Department publications, government gazettes, and legal databases.
- In case of any discrepancy, the original official government publication shall prevail.
- MyExcise is a private reference platform and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Maharashtra State Excise Department or any government body.

Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Copy, reproduce, or redistribute content from MyExcise for commercial purposes
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to extract data from the website
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or our servers
- Share your subscription credentials with others
- Use the AI chatbot to generate misleading or fraudulent legal documents
- Upload harmful content, viruses, or malicious code
Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension without refund.
Intellectual Property
- The MyExcise website design, logo, AI system, database structure, and original content are the intellectual property of Mohan Suklal Varde (Vertex TechnoLegal).
- Legal texts (Acts, Rules, Regulations) are government publications available in the public domain. Our value-add is in digital organization, search, cross-referencing, and AI analysis.
- You may use content for personal reference and study. Commercial redistribution requires written permission.
Limitation of Liability
- MyExcise is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
- We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or reliance on our content.
- Our total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount you paid for the subscription in the preceding 12 months.
Changes to Service & Pricing
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of MyExcise at any time.
- Subscription prices may change. Existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days before any price increase takes effect.
- Active subscriptions will continue at the original price until their expiry date.
Account Termination
- You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
- Upon termination, your access to paid content will cease immediately. No refund will be provided for terminated accounts due to policy violations.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
- These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
- Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with the updated date. Continued use of MyExcise after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
