1. Registration Information
MyExcise uses Google Sign-In as the primary registration and login method. When you sign in with Google, we receive the following information from your Google account:
- Full name (from your Google profile)
- Email address (verified by Google)
- Profile picture URL (if available)
- Google ID (a unique identifier used for login verification only)
We do not see, receive, or store your Google password. Phone number may be optionally collected after sign-in for order confirmations and important service notifications.
2. Payment Information
Subscription payments are processed by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. We do not store your credit card, debit card, or bank account details on our servers. Razorpay handles all payment data securely. We only store:
- Transaction ID (for reference)
- Payment amount and date
- Payment status (success/failed)

3. AI Assistant (MyExcise AI) Data
When you use the "Ask MyExcise AI" feature (previously known as Excise GPT), we collect:
- Your question text
- The AI-generated response
- Timestamp of usage
This data is stored to improve service quality and for your usage history. Questions may be cached (without personal identification) to provide faster responses to similar queries.
4. Automatically Collected Information
When you visit our website, we automatically collect:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Pages visited and time spent
- Device type (mobile/desktop)
This is collected through Google Analytics for understanding website usage and improving our services.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected to:
- Provide access to Acts, Rules, Regulations, and other legal content
- Process subscription payments and manage your account
- Provide AI-powered legal information through MyExcise AI

Data Retention
- Account data: Retained as long as your account is active
- Payment records: Retained for 7 years as required by Indian tax/accounting laws
- AI chat history: Retained for 1 year, then automatically deleted
- Analytics data: Retained as per Google Analytics default settings (26 months)
- Cached AI responses: Automatically deleted after 24 hours
Your Rights
Under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and applicable Indian laws, you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data we hold
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data

How to Delete Your Data
If you wish to delete your account and all associated personal data from MyExcise, you have multiple options:
Option 1: Request Deletion via Email
Send an email to myexcise1@gmail.com with:
- Subject: "Delete My Data"
- Include: Your registered email address or phone number
- Include: Reason for deletion (optional)
We will process your request and confirm deletion within 30 days.
Option 2: Request via WhatsApp
Message us on WhatsApp at +91 94228 30999 with:
- "I want to delete my MyExcise account"
- Your registered email or phone number
What Gets Deleted:
Upon account deletion, we will permanently remove:
- Your profile information (name, email, phone number)
- Login credentials (password, OAuth tokens)
- AI chat history and saved prompts
- Subscription preferences and settings
- Page view history and usage analytics
What We Retain:
For legal and compliance purposes, we may retain:
- Payment records: Required by Indian tax law (7 years retention)
- Transaction logs: For fraud prevention and audit purposes
- Aggregated analytics: Anonymized usage data (cannot be linked to you)
Google Sign-In users: Deleting your MyExcise account removes all data from our servers. To additionally revoke MyExcise's access to your Google account, go to Google Account Permissions → MyExcise → Remove Access.
Children's Privacy
MyExcise is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with the updated date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of MyExcise after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
