Welcome to MyExcise (https://myexcise.net), operated by Mohan Suklal Varde (individual proprietor, Udyam Reg. UDYAM-MH-26-1187854), trading as "Vertex TechnoLegal" and "MyExcise", registered at Flat F-702, Supreme Palm Society, Balewadi, Pune – 411045, Maharashtra, India. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our website and services.
By using MyExcise, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
Information We Collect
1. Registration Information
MyExcise uses Google Sign-In as the primary registration and login method. When you sign in with Google, we receive the following information from your Google account:
- Full name (from your Google profile)
- Email address (verified by Google)
- Profile picture URL (if available)
- Google ID (a unique identifier used for login verification only)
We do not see, receive, or store your Google password. Phone number may be optionally collected after sign-in for order confirmations and important service notifications.
2. Payment Information
Subscription payments are processed by our authorized payment gateway partner, a PCI-DSS compliant service. We do not store your credit card, debit card, or bank account details on our servers. The payment gateway handles all payment data securely. We only store:
- Transaction ID (for reference)
- Payment amount and date
- Payment status (success/failed)

3. AI Assistant (MyExcise AI) Data
When you use the "Ask MyExcise AI" feature (previously known as Excise GPT), we collect:
- Your question text
- The AI-generated response
- Timestamp of usage
This data is stored to:
- Improve service quality and the accuracy of AI answers over time
- Provide you with your usage history inside your account
- Allow our founder, Mohan Suklal Varde (Ex-Deputy Commissioner, State Excise Department, Government of Maharashtra), to identify subscribers whose research topics fall within his direct regulatory experience, so that — only if you have expressly opted in — he may offer founder-led customer support by email, WhatsApp or phone. By default we do not contact you about your questions; see "How We Use Your Information" below for how to opt in.
Questions may also be cached (without personal identification) to provide faster responses to similar queries.
4. Automatically Collected Information
When you visit our website, we automatically collect:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Pages visited and time spent
- Device type (mobile/desktop)
This is collected through Google Analytics for understanding website usage and improving our services.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected to:
- Provide access to Acts, Rules, Regulations, and other legal content
- Process subscription payments and manage your account
- Provide AI-powered legal information through MyExcise AI
- Improve website performance and user experience
- Respond to your queries and provide customer support
- Founder-led customer support (opt-in only). By default we do not proactively contact you about questions you have asked on the platform. If — and only if — you have expressly opted in, our founder may reach out via email, WhatsApp or phone to offer founder-led customer support related to topics you have researched, where his regulatory experience (Ex-Deputy Commissioner, State Excise Department, Government of Maharashtra) can meaningfully help. To opt in, email support@myexcise.net with the subject line "Opt in to founder outreach"; to opt back out at any time, email the same address with "Opt out of founder outreach" and we will stop immediately.

Advertising & AdSense
MyExcise uses Google AdSense to show ads to visitors who are NOT paying members (admins, subscribers, trial users on an active trial, and Pro users do not see ads).
- Google and other third-party vendors use cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites on the Internet.
- Ads are loaded only after you explicitly consent via our on-site cookie banner (see Cookies section). If you choose "Essential only" we do not load AdSense at all.
- Ads are never loaded inside the MyExcise Android app (TWA installation), regardless of consent.
- You can opt out of personalised ads any time at Google Ads Settings.
- Google's advertising policies are described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
If you become a paying subscriber, the ad gate turns off automatically on your next page load.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information:
- Sign-in to MyExcise is handled exclusively by Google OAuth. MyExcise does not create, store or verify passwords for user accounts — Google handles your authentication, and we only receive your verified email and name.
- All data transmission is encrypted via HTTPS/SSL
- Payment data is handled by our PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway partner
- Server access is restricted and monitored
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
- Account data: Retained as long as your account is active
- Payment records: Retained for 7 years as required by Indian tax/accounting laws
- AI chat history: Retained for 1 year, then automatically deleted
- Analytics data: Retained as per Google Analytics default settings (26 months)
- Cached AI responses: Automatically deleted after 24 hours
Your Rights
Under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and applicable Indian laws, you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data we hold
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data

How to Delete Your Data
If you wish to delete your account and all associated personal data from MyExcise, you have multiple options:
Option 1: Request Deletion via Email
Send an email to support@myexcise.net with:
- Subject: "Delete My Data"
- Include: Your registered email address or phone number
- Include: Reason for deletion (optional)
We will process your request and confirm deletion within 30 days.
Option 2: Request via WhatsApp
Message us on WhatsApp at +91 94228 30999 with:
- "I want to delete my MyExcise account"
- Your registered email or phone number
What Gets Deleted:
Upon account deletion, we will permanently remove:
- Your profile information (name, email, phone number)
- Login credentials (password, OAuth tokens)
- AI chat history and saved prompts
- Subscription preferences and settings
- Page view history and usage analytics
What We Retain:
For legal and compliance purposes, we may retain:
- Payment records: Required by Indian tax law (7 years retention)
- Transaction logs: For fraud prevention and audit purposes
- Aggregated analytics: Anonymized usage data (cannot be linked to you)
Google Sign-In users: Deleting your MyExcise account removes all data from our servers. To additionally revoke MyExcise's access to your Google account, go to Google Account Permissions → MyExcise → Remove Access.
Children's Privacy
MyExcise is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with the updated date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of MyExcise after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
