EMOLUMENTS (Monthly Pay)

Note: All posts are on consolidated/contract pay; no other allowances applicable.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS

Legal Advisor (Group-A):

• Must hold a Law degree; retired persons eligible
• Minimum 10 years of legal experience required
• Age limit: 45 years minimum
• Must have no convictions under the Bombay Prohibition Act 1949, Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act 1985 (NDPS Act), or other specified Acts
• Must not be engaged in private practice during tenure
• Must sign a service agreement (bond) with the department

Legal Officer (Group-A):

• Must hold a Law degree; retired persons eligible
• Minimum 7 years post-qualification legal experience
• Age limit: 40 years minimum
• Same disqualification conditions as above (BPA 1949, NDPS 1985, etc.)

Legal Officer (Group-B):

• Must hold a Law degree; retired persons eligible
• Minimum 5 years post-qualification legal experience
• Age limit: 35 years minimum
• Same disqualification conditions as above

SERVICE CONDITIONS (All Posts)

• Tenure: 11 months, extendable; max 3 extensions of 11 months each; beyond 3 years, re-appointment possible only after a fresh break
• Private Practice: Prohibited during tenure; any private practice must be disclosed before appointment
• Bond/Agreement: Mandatory before joining
• Retirement from government service does not automatically qualify a candidate
