• Reporting Requirement: Commissioner of State Excise (आयुक्त, राउशु) must inform the Government of:

  • This communication must be sent immediately/urgently to the Government.

5. Non-Acceptance Consequences (Section 3): If a promoted Sub-Inspector refuses to accept the temporary promotion to Inspector:

• Their name will be struck off from the 2017-18 promotion merit list (वनिडसुचीतून काढून टाकण्यात येतील).
• They will NOT be considered for promotion in the next two years' promotion lists (2018-19 and 2019-20).
• They will be eligible for promotion consideration only in the third year's merit list (2021-22 and thereafter).
• This is governed by General Administration Department Resolution EST-2015/Pr.Kr.303/Ka-12, dated 12.9.2016.

• Promotion is by seniority (सेिाज्येष्ट्ठतेनुसार) from within the Sub-Inspector (Group-B) cadre.

7. Supreme Court Condition:

• All promotions remain subject to and conditional upon the order in Special Leave Petition No. 28306/2017 in the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India (मा.सिोच्च न्यायालय).
