Toddy may be procured and sold from Palghar and Raigad districts (within Konkan region) as a special case.
When a toddy shop in Mumbai (city), Mumbai (suburbs), or Thane is approved, proof of 1,000 mature trees in Palghar and Raigad districts is not required.
The Commissioner shall issue detailed procedural instructions (कायणपध्दती) without delay.

Quality Control:

Precautions shall be taken to ensure adulterated toddy is not distributed.
