This Government Resolution creates temporary additional posts (surplus posts) in the State Excise Department of Maharashtra for a 2-year period to accommodate two probationary officers undergoing combined training under the State Services Examination 2021. Nodal Official Responsibility: Commissioner, State Excise shall implement this resolution and manage fund allocation in accordance with directives issued by the General Administration Department from time to time

Temporary Nature: These posts are not permanent; they exist only for the 2-year training duration (03.10.2023 – 02.10.2025). Upon completion of training and probation, candidates shall be adjusted in regular permanent posts as per recruitment rules.
Financial Regulation: Expenditure incurred shall be met from the sanctioned annual budget grants. No supplementary demands shall be entertained unless budgetary provisions are made.
Compliance with Finance Department Instructions: This GR is issued in strict compliance with the Finance Department's authority as granted vide GR dated 20.02.2016. Any deviation shall require prior approval from the Finance Department.

None directly. This GR pertains to creation of temporary administrative/supervisory posts within the State Excise Department for probationary officers during training. It does not amend, create, or modify any liquor license categories (FL-I, FL-II, FL-III, FL-IV, CL-I, CL-II, CL-III, Toddy, Neera, etc.) under the BPA 1949, BFLR 1953, or MCLR 1973.
However, the resolution affects the administrative capacity of the State Excise Department to supervise and administer excise licenses through the newly trained officer cadre.
