Amended Rule/Section: State Excise Department Administrative Approval — GR No. BGT-1023/Pr.Cr.52/RAUSHU-1
Type of Change: Revised Administrative Approval (Substitution of Earlier Sanction)
What Changed:
The Government of Maharashtra Home Department has issued revised administrative approval for the construction of a new administrative building, boundary wall, and internal roads for the Office of the Superintendent, State Excise, Nandurbar. The original administrative approval (dated 28 February 2023) sanctioned construction at ₹8,93,10,000. This revised approval increases the sanctioned budget to ₹9,63,63,000 (Nine crore sixty-three lakh sixty-three thousand rupees). The revision was necessitated because: (1) access road to the approved plot was unavailable, requiring an internal approach road of approximately 100 metres within the plot boundary; and (2) the site being on sloping terrain with steep gradients required a change in building design from G+1 (Ground + 1 storey) to Stilt Floor + 2 storeys for safety reasons. Revised architectural plans were prepared by the Deputy Chief Architect, Public Works Department, and approved by competent authorities.
