Key Operative Conditions:
• Immediate Effect: Orders take immediate effect; officers must assume new positions without delay.
• Assumption of Office Deadline: Officers must assume charge within the prescribed joining period under Maharashtra Civil Service (Assumption of Office, Leave and Suspension) Rules, 1981. Failure to join on time will be treated as absence on duty (dies non) and disciplinary action may follow.
• Leave Restrictions: No leave shall be sanctioned to either officer without prior government approval. The previous office cannot accept any applications from the transferred officers (Rule 30(C), Leave Rules 1981).
• Pressure/Coercion Prohibition: Any direct or indirect attempt to pressure either officer into accepting or rejecting this transfer order shall be treated as misconduct under Rule 23 of the Maharashtra Civil Service (Conduct) Rules, 1979, and disciplinary action will be initiated.
• Reporting Requirement: Upon assumption of the new position, each officer must submit a formal report to the Commissioner, State Excise.
Effective Date: Immediate (from date of publication)
