INDIRECT RELEVANCE

The RTI Act, 2005 does apply to Maharashtra Excise Department as a Central statute. Any person may file an RTI application with the Commissioner of State Excise or other excise authority to:

• Obtain information about license applications
• Access fee schedules, rules, and administrative decisions
• Challenge refusals under Section 8 (exemptions)
