     • Exercise suitable control over alcohol sale permits (मद्यविक्री अनुज्ञप्ती)
     • Oversee revenue collection from alcohol manufacturing units (मद्य निर्माणी घटकांकडून होणारे महसूल संकलन)
     • Ensure adequate excise revenue collection levels in Vidarbha and Marathwada regions
     • Maintain appropriate coordination with Headquarters, Mumbai

4. Financial/Administrative:

   • Salary and allowances shall be drawn from the Regional Deputy Commissioner office, Nagpur Region budget
   • Expenditure shall be charged under Budget Head B-2, 2039, State Excise (02)(01) Inspection and Prevention Establishment (203900032) (Provisional) (Mandatory)
   • Expenditure account classification: as per existing budgetary provisions under the above head

5. Transfer of Subjects/Functions:

   • All subjects/functions earlier assigned to the position of Deputy Commissioner (Liquor/Excise) are transferred to Deputy Commissioner (Administration), Commissioner's Office, State Excise

6. Authority and Responsibilities:

   • The duties, responsibilities, and hierarchical relations of the post of Deputy Commissioner (Coordination), State Excise, Nagpur shall be independently defined as deemed appropriate

HISTORICAL CONTEXT (Referenced Government Resolutions)

Reference GR No. 1 (EST-1616/Pr.Cr.200/RAUSH-1, dated 02.09.2021):

• Authorized restructuring of 3,800 posts across 31 departments of the State Excise Department
• This restructuring was approved by the High-Level Committee chaired by the Chief Secretary in the meeting dated 03.08.2019

IMPORTANT NOTES / CONDITIONS / SPECIAL PROVISIONS
