This Government Resolution grants administrative approval (excluding financial approval) for a capital expenditure budget of ₹2,74,70,900.00 (Rupees Two Crore Seventy-Four Lakh Seventy Thousand Nine Hundred only, inclusive of GST) for the renovation and upgradation of the Commissioner of State Excise office located on the 2nd floor of the Old Custom House Building, Mumbai. The approval is granted subject to specified conditions and the prior consent of the Superintendent Engineer (Public Works), Mumbai, and the Consumer Department. This resolution does NOT constitute financial sanction and must be read in conjunction with existing budget allocations.
Administrative Conditions:
Superintendent Engineer, Public Works Board (PWB), Mumbai, and the Consumer Department must be consulted and their written consent obtained before commencement of renovation work.
Special care must be taken during execution to ensure no harm to the historic building (this structure is a protected historic monument — the Old Custom House Building).
The cost of the work must be borne from existing budget allocations (उपलब्ध असलेल्या नियतव्ययातून भागवावा) — no new budgetary provision is created.
This approval is administrative in nature only — financial sanction is separately required and is explicitly excluded from this resolution.
