IMPORTANT NOTES / CONDITIONS
-
Committee Function: This GR does NOT create new powers but formalizes coordination structure for review and monitoring of preventive measures already undertaken jointly by Police and Excise authorities.
-
Village Protection Forces: Inclusion of 6 ग्रामरक्षक दल members indicates grassroots involvement in illicit liquor prevention — these are nominated/invitee members, not permanent committee members.
-
Hierarchy Clarification: The change from District Police Superintendent to Police Deputy Superintendent (Headquarters) suggests a shift in protocol — Deputy Superintendent (HQ) reports more directly to state-level police hierarchy, centralizing coordination.
-
Prior Authority: This GR amends and operationalizes decisions already taken in the GR dated 16 May 2017 — the current GR is a refinement/clarification amendment.
-
Scope of Operation: The resolution is specifically focused on अवैध दारु (illicit/illegal liquor) — not covered under the Bombay Prohibition Act 1949 licensing regime. This is distinct from licensed FL/CL categories.
-
Digital Signature: The order carries digital authentication and is available on the official Maharashtra Government portal — this ensures legal validity and accessibility.
NO FEES, FORMS, OR LICENSE APPLICATIONS MENTIONED
This document contains no fee schedules, application forms, or license-related eligibility criteria. It is purely a structural/administrative amendment to inter-departmental committees.
