This Government Resolution establishes a Departmental Review Committee (विभागीय पुनर्विलोकन समिती) within the Maharashtra State Excise Department to conduct fitness review of Group-A and Group-B gazetted officers in the State Excise Department. The committee will examine whether officers aged 50/55 years or those with 30 years of qualifying service should be permitted to continue in service. The decision implements the Government's review policy under Maharashtra Civil Service (Retirement Benefits) Rules 1982 (Rules 10(4) and 65), following circulars dated 12.05.1986 and 18.10.1993 from the General Administration Department.
