What Changed: The State Excise Department has issued a circular modifying the manner in which liquor stock entry and sale registers must be maintained by various license holders. Previously, the stock registers may have been maintained on an aggregate or different basis. The new requirement mandates that all stock registers for the specified license categories must now be maintained brand-wise (ब्रॅण्डनुसार). This means licensees must record opening stock, receipts (inward entries), sales, and closing balance separately for each individual brand of liquor they stock, rather than maintaining consolidated records by category or type of liquor.
