What this form is for
Form R. S. VII-B is a register of casks, in which a rectified spirit licensee records each cask's capacity over time, along with the spirit sent out under bond or issued duty-paid or duty-free. It is maintained by the holder of a licence under the Bombay Rectified Spirit Rules, 1951, as a continuing record kept for inspection by excise officers, who initial the entries. The form is prescribed by licence condition No. 7(2) of those rules, and the form text does not name any further authorising provision.
