What this form is for
FORM TD-2 is an agreement, or undertaking, in which a toddy retail licensee binds themselves to the Governor of Maharashtra to comply with the Bombay Prohibition Act, 1949, its rules, regulations and orders, and the conditions written in the licence. It is executed by the person to whom the Collector grants a licence for the retail sale of toddy at a specified location, covering the stated licence period. The licensee signs it before two witnesses and in the presence of the Superintendent or District Inspector of Prohibition and Excise. It is prescribed under rule 4 of the Maharashtra Toddy Shops (Licensing) and Toddy Trees (Tapping) Rules, 1968.
