What this form is for
Form J is the pass issued by the Collector authorising the export of duty-paid imported foreign liquor out of Maharashtra, prepared in four parts: a record copy for the Collector's office, a copy for the applicant, a copy travelling with the consignment, and a copy posted to the Collector or Excise Officer at the importing place. It is sought by an exporter holding a licence or permit who wants to send such liquor to another place as a single consignment. The pass is issued subject to conditions, including that the consignment's bulk is not broken in transit. It is authorised by rule 27(1) of the Maharashtra Foreign Liquor (Import and Export) Rules, 1963, made under the Bombay Prohibition Act, 1949.

XXV FORM J [See rule 27 (1)] pass for the export of duty-paid imported foreign liquor PART I - To be retained on the record of the office of the Collector No. Dated .................................... 1. Name and address of the exporter . . 2. Kind of licence of permit held by the exporter and its No. 3. Quantity and description of duty-paid imported foreign liquor to be exported. 4. Name and address of the person to whom duty-paid imported foreign liquor is to be exported. 5. Place to which duty-paid imported foreign liquor is to be exported. 6. Place from which duty-paid imported foreign liquor is to be exported. 7. Route (state also the place up to which removal of duty-paid imported foreign liquor will be by road during its transit in the State of Maharashtra). 8. Period for which this pass shall be valid. This pass is granted under and subject to the provisions of the Bombay Prohibition Act, 1949, and the rules, regulations and orders made thereunder and subject to the following conditions, namely : (a) The whole quantity of duty-paid imported foreign liquor shall be exported in one consignment only and its bulk shall not be broken in transit; (b) The pass holder shall given an undertaking in writing to abide by the above condition.
