What this form is for
Certificate-2 is a certificate issued by an Excise Officer at the place of despatch, confirming that Indian made foreign liquor against a specified import pass has been issued from a distillery, brewery or bonded warehouse and that the packages were securely packed and sealed in the officer's presence. It is completed by the Excise Officer at the exporting place whenever such liquor is despatched to a person holding an import pass, and it records the consignment's description, packaging and strength in proof litres. The form is prescribed under rule 11(3) of the Maharashtra Foreign Liquor (Import and Export) Rules, 1963.
