What this form is for
Form D. S. XXXI is a monthly return that records the opening balance, receipts, retail sales and closing balance of denatured spirit, in bottles, held under a retail licence. It is filed each month by the holder of a D. S. VII licence, who must also break down sales by the category of buyer (D. S. II permit-holders and D. S. III, IV and V licence-holders) and report any breakage. It is prescribed by rule 45-B of the Bombay Denatured Spirit Rules, 1959, and is reproduced in the rules published with the Bombay Prohibition Act, 1949.
