What this form is for
Form VII is the Vat Account Register, a running ledger that tracks the contents of each vat holding spirit or liquor, including receipts, dips, strength, blending, evaporation losses, transfers and issues, in proof litres. It is maintained by the licensee operating a distillery or manufactory, who must record every movement and loss for each vat so that stock can be reconciled and any deficiency or excess identified. The form is prescribed under rules 12 and 14 of the Maharashtra Distillation of Spirit and Manufacture of Potable Liquor Rules, 1966, made under the Bombay Prohibition Act, 1949.
