What this form is for
Form II is a register that records the dimensions and capacities of washbacks, vats, vessels and receivers, with entries for the initial gauging, any later regaugings, and tables of dimensions and dip-wise contents. It is maintained by the licensee operating a distillery or manufactory, so that the capacity of each vessel used in production is fixed and verifiable by the excise authorities. The register is prescribed under rule 5(4) of the Maharashtra Distillation of Spirit and Manufacture of Potable Liquor Rules, 1966.
