What this form is for
Form B is the monthly return in which a licensed seller of spirituous medicinal preparations reports the stock received and sold during a calendar month, along with opening and closing balances. It is filed every month by the holder of a licence to sell such preparations (an S.M.P. licence), so the licensing authority can reconcile stock movement and detect diversion. The form is prescribed under rule 19(2) of the Bombay Spirituous Medicinal Preparations (Sale) Rules, 1954, framed under the Bombay Prohibition Act, 1949.
