Pass for the import of spirituous preparation

What this form is for
Form S. P. 1 is the Import Pass, a four-part document issued by the Collector or other issuing officer that authorises the bringing of a stated quantity of spirituous preparation into Maharashtra from another State. It is obtained by the importer, or an agent acting for them, before the consignment moves, and it lays down the transit route, inspection points and validity period. Copies go to the issuing office, the exporting-place excise officer, the importer's local Prohibition and Excise officer, and the importer. The form is prescribed under rule 5 (1) of the Maharashtra Spirituous Preparations (Import and Export) Rules, 1963.
