What this form is for
Form BR-IV is a register that records each batch of material charged into the vats or vessels of a brewery's or manufactory's fermentation room, including when fermentation began and ended and what quantity was transferred onward. It is maintained by the licensee of the brewery or manufactory, with entries countersigned by the Brewery Officer or Manufactory Officer, as a running record of fermentation activity. The form is prescribed under rule 10(1) of the Maharashtra Manufacture of Beer and Wine Rules, 1966, which were framed under the Bombay Prohibition Act, 1949.
