What this form is for
Form S. W. II is the licence issued by the Collector authorising the manufacture and sale of sacramental wine at a specified manufactory for a stated period. It is held by the person approved to make sacramental wine, typically for religious use, and is granted on payment of the prescribed fee. The licence is subject to conditions such as supervision by the Officer-in-charge, a cap on the quantity manufactured, and surrender of stock on suspension or cancellation. Licence for the manufacture of sacramental wine
Licence is hereby granted, under and subject to the provisions of the Bombay
Prohibition Act, 1949 (Bom. XXV of 1949), and the rules, regulations and orders made
thereunder, to at (hereinafter
referred to as “the licensee”), on payment of a fee of Rs.
authorising him to manufacture and sell sacramental wine at his manufactory situated at
(hereinafter referred to as “the said
manufactory”) during the period from to to subject
the following conditions, namely:
Conditions
1.The licensee shall not manufacture sacramental wine except at the said manufac-
tory and under the supervision of the Officer-in charge.
2.The licensee shall, if the Commissioner so directs, pay the costs of supervision of
the Officer-in-charge.The licensee shall not manufacture sacramental wine at the said
manufactory exceeding ——————— gallons during the period of the licence.
3.The licensee shall not carry out any alterations in the said manufactory except
with the pervious sanction of the collector.
4.The licensee shall hang up the licence in a conspicuous place in the said
manufactory.
5.The said manufactory shall, when not in use, be kept close under separate locks
and keys of the Officer-in-charge and the licensee.
6.The licensee may authorise in writing a priest to work on his behalf but both the
licensee and the priest shall be responsible for the operations connected with the manu-
facture, strorage and sale of sacramental wine carried out at the said manufactory.
7.This licence may be suspended or cancelled in accordance with the provisions of
Section 54 or 56 of the Bombay Prohibition Act, 1949.
8.In case, the licence is suspended or cancelled during the currency of licence
period or is not renewed on its expiry, the whole stock of sacramental wine in balance with
the licensee on the date of such suspension, cancellation or non-renewal, as the case may
be, shall forthwith be surrendered by him to the Collector.
9.The licensee shall comply with all orders and instructions issued to him by the
Commissioner, Collector or the

Excise.]
10.The licensee shall abide by the provisions of the Bombay Prohibition Act, 1949,
and the rules, regulations and orders made thereunder and the conditions of this licence.
